This position has been designed to take our printed product services to the next level. Currently we use numerous central 3D printers to provide top quality printed items to both internal and external customers. As customer demand grows rapidly we seek to scale to meet demand and exceed quality expectations.

We’re looking for a Senior Process Engineer - Printed Product Services who is passionate about the world-changing prospects of 3D printing and seeking to lead that charge by driving our work in the service bureau space. You will be managing the printed product services at the operational and strategic level. This role involves close work with senior stakeholders inside and outside MakerBot. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of a cutting edge manufacturing capability. We need someone who can manage and grow this department. As the Senior Process Engineer - Printed Product Services you will:
Manage a cutting-edge manufacturing work cells
Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes
Create and maintain BOMs for all Print Services products
Employ and utilize multiple software solutions to automate processes
Calculate production, labor, and material cost, reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements
Work with supply chain to set-up pull/push systems for materials
Generate and report project status and timelines
Build and manage a roadmap for process and technology improvements
Manage product delivery to internal and external customers
Provide strategy for continuous improvement goals to specifically improve output and reduce defects incrementally year over year
Develop strategy, goals, dashboards and metrics for use as management tools
Develop, build and expand the organization
Implement key strategies and meet targets and objectives as defined in departmental goals.
Maintain safe and effective working standards for all personnel
Provide high level communication summaries and presentations for management


To be considered for this Senior Process Engineer - Printed Product Services position, you need:
BSME, BSIE, BSMfgE. Master’s degree preferred
5-10 years of process or manufacturing engineering experience
Experience with appliance, automotive or electromechanical device manufacturing a plus
Demonstrated understanding of product development lifecycles, design change and document change control, product and process verification and validation methodologies, and manufacturing / production process control methodologies
Excellent people skills, 'on the shop floor' attitude, hands on
Experience with ERP and/or inventory management systems; experience with Salesforce or Magento a plus
Excellent oral communication & report, business correspondence & procedure-writing skills
Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm to drive improvement.
Ability to multitask and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively
High level of leadership skills with a desire to cultivate management and performance in direct reports
Understanding of costing and pricing concepts
Experience in developing business models
Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This employer will not sponsor applications for work/student Visas.
