We’re looking for writers with a demonstrable online following to join our content marketing team at ScoreBig. This is not advertorial publishing by any means; your mission is to create content that highlights and celebrates the live event experience within your area of expertise (sports, theater, Broadway, concerts/music, family attraction/events, value-focused offers). Working in conjunction with our content manager, you will brainstorm, write and promote high-quality content. In addition, you'll have access to unique information on ticketing data and industry trends.In addition to contributing to the ScoreBig blog, you will be expected to write original content and to develop the voice of our social media brands. Candidates who already have strong, established online presences and social media followings will be given special consideration.Skills needed:• You have 3-5 years of experience in online journalism• You are comfortable reporting with some data analysis (think Five Thirty Eight light)• You are credible, passionate, and knowledgeable about your area of expertise• You write engaging articles in the third person, deliver clean copy (excellent spelling and grammar a must), and have a strong understanding of AP Style • You provide timely, accurate, and fair information in keeping with the blog’s overall tone and voice (don’t worry, there’s lots of room to have fun!)Compensation is competitive and bonuses may be offered commensurate with meeting traffic goals. Freelancers are paid per article, 600-1200 words. Assignment volume will depend on editorial calendar.
