The Senior Brand Manager, Integrated Marketing will implement the vision, strategy, and marketing initiatives for some of HarperCollins Children’s Books’ well-known teen, middle grade, and picture book brands, including the New York Times bestselling global powerhouse DIVERGENT series and movie franchise. Reporting to two Integrated Marketing Directors, this dual-report role requires cross-functional thinking and an ability to manage multiple priorities with ease and good humor. Senior Brand Manager will have unique opportunity to work independently with primary ownership on projects, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute multi-platform marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the global strategy for the brands, optimizing plans, initiatives, and assets across all markets.
- Ensure that all messaging and positioning is consistent and customized, in order to reach target demographics and new audiences with year-round plans and initiatives.
- Supervise all aspects of the brands’ integrated marketing plans, including digital, publicity, and retail promotions, working closely with estates or 3rd parties to ensure brand growth across all forms of media.
- Innovate current digital presence while pursuing new opportunities across platforms, technologies, and tactics in collaboration with the team, estates, licensing agencies, and movie studios (where applicable), with an emphasis on social media strategies and messaging.
- Manage and develop community engagement strategy on social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Pinterest, Goodreads, and others.
- Manage brand websites and mobile presence for various audiences with emphasis on streamlining workflow while maximizing engagement content and product offerings.
- Demonstrate ability to manage projects independently, follow up with key stakeholders, and act as liaison with authors and illustrators, internal departments, and external vendors and partners.
- Develop and present marketing plans and initiatives for direct-responsibility titles and projects and create presentation materials for accounts, authors/illustrators, agents, and potential marketing partners.
- Liaise with sales group to respond to marketplace needs and fluctuations and produce relevant sales materials.
- Attend strategic planning meetings with or in place of Marketing Director(s) and provide necessary follow up.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing (digital preferred)
- Strong understanding of branding strategies and execution
- Strong knowledge of new technologies, including social media platforms
- Ability to understand the big picture while executing detailed plans and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Should have copywriting and copyediting experience; design skills or background a definite plus
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Highly motivated, resourceful, flexible, and adaptable
- Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
- Talent at handling competing priorities under pressure while maintaining a sense of humor
