The Marketing Manager will be an integral part of the math marketing team and be responsible for developing marketing strategies for our elementary math suite and driving product development efforts. In this exciting role, you’ll develop new messaging, and execute marketing campaigns in order to create awareness, drive new revenue, and expand partnerships with existing customers.


• Make a huge impact on how we brand, market, and build our math portfolio.
• Think strategically and creatively to identify market and product opportunities.
• Lead the marketing efforts and gain exposure to senior management in marketing, sales, corporate communications, and development.
• Grow a new arm of Scholastic by reaching new audiences geared towards math; become a leader on an “exponentially” growing team of smart, driven, and enthusiastic individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications Strategy

• Collaborate with sales and design to drive the development and execution of marketing campaigns and brand strategy across all channel (online advertising, events, social media, website, direct marketing initiatives, sales presentations, commericials, etc.)
• Represent Scholastic Math at national conferences and events, including speaker proposals, exhibit design and messaging, and customer events.
• Support the sales and service organizations as they communicate with customers.
• Develop new messaging and marketing strategy for new elementary solutions.

Product Planning & Development

• Analyze current market offerings, customer needs and market trends in order to drive and inform product development initiatives.
• Partner with a global development team to plan and develop a new K-5 program.
• Recommend revisions of and extensions for existing solutions, including product customization, new components, and pricing models.

Business & Market Analysis

• Research and report information about market trends, competitive issues and products, customer issues, and sales force needs to stakeholders.
• Measure campaign effectiveness to ensure revenue and strategic goals are achieved.
• Recommend and implement pricing plans in line with product strategy.


• Must have a bachelor's degree.
• Must have 3 plus years of work experience in marketing and communications. A digital background is also required.
• Must have an interest in K-12 education and be passionate about helping children achieve academic success.
• Should thrive in fast paced start-up like environment within a larger more structured organization.
• Must have excellent writing, presentation and marketing communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Periodic planned travel (approximately 15-20%).
• Expertise using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Key Note.
