Position Profile:

Devise and implement publicity plans; coordinate publicity events; maintain relationships with authors, media, and event venues.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Devise and implement trade PR campaigns across all media platforms, including digital media.
• Pitch and arrange interviews, events, tours, and PR campaigns and initiatives.
• Work with editorial, sales and marketing contacts to create a clear and thorough publicity effort for all titles.
• Organize and attend media interviews, book tours, and author appearances.
• Create press releases, pitch letters and promotional materials that will successfully achieve media in local, regional and national outlets.
• Oversee relationships with media, bookstores, bloggers, and authors.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 - 5+ years of experience.
• Excellent and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
• Global thinker
• Skills in diplomacy, a strong sense of initiative and high level of professionalism.
• Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
• Relationships with print, broadcast, and online media.
• Ability to think strategically and adapt to changing circumstances in a highly collaborative environment.
• Experience working with global editorial and publicity teams and territorial offices a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Publicity Assistant, Cision, and Social Media technology.
