Position Profile: Devise and implement publicity plans; coordinate publicity events; maintain relationships with authors, media, and event venues. Primary Responsibilities:• Devise and implement trade PR campaigns across all media platforms, including digital media.• Pitch and arrange interviews, events, tours, and PR campaigns and initiatives.• Work with editorial, sales and marketing contacts to create a clear and thorough publicity effort for all titles.• Organize and attend media interviews, book tours, and author appearances.• Create press releases, pitch letters and promotional materials that will successfully achieve media in local, regional and national outlets.• Oversee relationships with media, bookstores, bloggers, and authors.Qualifications/Skills Required:• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 - 5+ years of experience.• Excellent and effective communication skills, both oral and written.• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.• Global thinker• Skills in diplomacy, a strong sense of initiative and high level of professionalism.• Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.• Relationships with print, broadcast, and online media.• Ability to think strategically and adapt to changing circumstances in a highly collaborative environment. • Experience working with global editorial and publicity teams and territorial offices a plus• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Publicity Assistant, Cision, and Social Media technology.Please submit cover letter, resume and salary requirements as an MS Word document to firstname.lastname@example.org.
