Hearst Digital is looking for an Account Manager in New York for the Seventeen YouTube channel a joint venture with DreamWorks AnimationSKG's AwesomenessTV and Seventeen Magazine. This person will support the sales team in proposing, preparing, implementing, and managing sales campaigns. With a deep understanding of digital media, content and video strategy, advertising and branded content, the Account Manager will provide the sales team with the tools and insights to create effective and creative campaigns that perform. This person needs to be comfortable liaising with key stakeholders at Seventeen, AwesomenessTV, creative agencies, advertisers and channel talent. The position is based in NYC but will require flexibility to spend meaningful time in the Los Angeles

Responsibilities:

Create media plans for integrated programs including paging, online media, custom content (online and video), product integration and media on Youtube.
Responsible for managing profitability of each deal and working with the digital yield team to set pricing.
Campaign Management including working with the digital team to execute custom content and media and working with the Youtube account rep to execute the media on Youtube. As well as being the first point of contact for campaign issues and requests.

Monitor and optimize campaign metrics for delivery and performance; provide detailed reporting and recommendations.
Partner with the sales team to develop strategies that lead to successful and repeatable programs.
Effectively communicate our position in the marketplace and have a deep understanding of competitive programs, companies.
Be able to problem-solve to knock down roadblocks.
Continue to educate yourself on the past, present and future of online video programs.
Be considered a thought leader in digital media and social media video advertising among your peers and clients.


Requirements:

Strong creative problem-solving skills and an ability to come up with unique solutions to complex problems.
Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines across multiple clients.
Flexible, personable attitude; ability to develop excellent professional relationships with all level of personnel.
Proven ability to work successfully both within a team and independently.
A team player whose excited to partner up with the sales team to accomplish team goals.
At least 3-4 years of sales experience in digital media and a strong YouTube background.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint (keynote a plus) skills for presentations and media plans.
Positive, can-do-anything attitude, attention to detail.
Passionate, hard-working, self-starter.
Salesforce skills are a plus.
