Quartz is looking for an Account Director to join our dynamic, growing, all-star team of digital media professionals in an exciting, start-up environment. This is an opportunity to join an exciting new brand that is built for and focused on the increasingly dominant themes in media today: social, mobile, global.

Responsibilities:

- Cultivate strong relationships through a consultative process involving on-site meetings and presentations with client and agency decision makers seeking to engage Global Business Professionals.
- Develop and deliver winning programs and proposals that lead to lasting and commercially successful advertising partnerships with a focus on branded content creation and innovative custom advertising.
- Inform the ongoing and developing business strategy development through deep knowledge and understanding of the market, categories, advertising business, and trends.
Serve as a representative of the Quartz brand in a positive, convincing, and enthusiastic manner.

Qualifications:

- Highly motivated, proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to win.
- Ideally has relationships on both agency side and client side.
- Ability to take ownership and work independently to meet aggressive performance goals.
- Outstanding professional record of achievement.
- Strong interest in global business, high-quality content and online media.
- Excellent and persuasive communication skills, including an ability to create and deliver convincing arguments verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and strength in building lasting relationships internally and externally.
- Effective time management and organization skills.
- 5+ years of experience.
