Business Affairs/Music Assistant
We are seeking a Business Affairs/Music Assistant to join our Los Angeles team.As the Business Affairs/Music Assistant, you know the hottest band before Pitchfork posts a review. Make timely talent payments in the talent payment systems. Administer and prepare talent payment reports. Prepare estimates for TV production, radio production, and talent reuse jobs. Obtain flight scheduling information in order to pay talent fees for all spots currently airing. Track all active spots to insure that talent holding fees are authorized and paid on time and that MPU periods are known and anticipated. Prepare expiration reports on existing spots. Prepare closure reports for all production and talent reuse jobs. Assist with Final Talent Reports and make appropriate talent payments. Negotiate licenses. Develop music brief with producer and creative team. Contact labels and reps to source music for licensing. Curate search results for internal and client presentations. Publish music news and updates for Agency; develop and curate playlist. Keep current with labels, artists and releases. Four-year degree is required. 3-5 years experience in Music industry, Film/Television or Advertising Production/Business role Experience in advertising agency broadcast administration preferred. Experience with payment and billing systems Strong interpersonal skills and team building skills. Experience with budgeting and operations.
