Reports to the Senior Director of Communications, the graphic designer will design and execute a range of promotional materials (both print and digital) for the School, including communications aimed at alumni, current students, potential degree program applicants, Executive Education participants, faculty members, and more. The graphic designer will support and further the School’s visual identity with particular attention paid to the brand positioning effort, ensuring that the School’s position is adequately reflected in communications.

Responsibilities:
1.Work with Marketing and Communications team and partner offices around the School to create original concepts, mockups, and designs for print and web.
2.Design efficiently to ensure deliverable deadlines are met.
3.Present design strategy and concepts thoughtfully and articulately to stakeholders around the School.
4.Respond to feedback and revise and execute designs to serve identified communications goals.
5.Perform press checks to ensure highest quality deliverable.
6.Proactively propose new project ideas to serve institutional goals.
7.Other related duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Three to four years related experience required.

Minimum Requirements:
Portfolio showcasing both print and digital designs required. Must have professional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and be able to work with many levels of faculty, staff and students. Must be able to express sound judgment and be detail orientated. Must be able to translate assignments into high quality layouts that meet the communications needs of client offices while ensuring a significant range of options. Ability to use innovation to design creative solutions within the constraints of cost, time, and other limited resources needed. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator required. Must have prior experience with retouching photos. Knowledge of print production, with a familiarity with offset and digital printing needed. Must have project management experience and the ability to handle multiple projects at once. Must be able to modify designs based on feedback as well as create variations in designs. Ability to produce concepts based on existing brand parameters and to maintain brand standards and consistency necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing infographics preferred. Prior experience directing photo shoots desired. Experience designing PowerPoint templates a plus. Working knowledge of HTML/Flash/CSS a plus. Prior experience designing for web and familiarity with new web trends desired. A basic understanding of web development technology is a plus.
