General Description

•Responsible for the success of Smashbox Studios Event business
•Re-launch currently closed studios to a fully operational and successful events business - target date is Mid-Fall 2014.
•Elevate and uphold the Smashbox Studios brand, industry position and culture as the top fashion/commercial studio and event space in LA

Core Responsibilities
•Actively and effectively solicit new business by conducting sales calls, meetings, presentations and attending local industry events
•Manage internal marketing and PR related to sales efforts
•Monitor and report sales metrics and continually develop strategies to improve KPIs
•Manage prospect pipeline using CRM system
•Develop and maintain long term positive relationships with clients and event community
•Achieve monthly sales goals
•Update shared Event Calendar with tentative and definite business
•Manage and respond to inquires in a timely manner and create winning proposals
•Negotiate pricing and services
•Work with internal and external teams to ensure perfectly executed events from initial planning to completion
•Be onsite for events to liaise with client and operations team
•Manage and coordinate 3rd party vendors, suppliers, consultants and contractors
•Process estimates, booking confirmations, insurance certificates, advances, invoices account applications and required business paperwork
•Collaborate and partner with Smashbox Studios leadership, departments and staff
•Ensure high-level customer satisfaction with Smashbox Studios service. Follow up to find out if there is anything more we can do to provide better service
•Develop a great working relationship with Fire Marshall of Culver City and like authorities

Required Experience
•Minimum 5 years related sales and production experience specific to events
•Experience in growing event sales
•Knowledge of staffing, par levels, and logistics of studios load-in & load out.
•Knowledge of sales/negotiation/closing process
•High level of creativity, enthusiasm, and flexibility
•MS Office skills (Excel, Work, databases) and competence in other popular business systems
•Strong understanding of legal contract language
•Interpersonal skills, strong guest/client relations
•Analysis and decision making
•Written and verbal communication; time management skills
•Ability to plan, prioritize and organize in a fast-pace, high volume environment
•Sales ability and persuasiveness
•Candidates must be willing and available to work extended hours Monday through Friday in addition to weekends when needed
