General Description

•Shared responsibility for the success of Smashbox Studios sales and profitability
•Re-launch currently closed studios to a fully operational and successful business - target date is Mid-Fall 2014.
•Elevate and uphold the Smashbox Studios brand, industry position and culture as the top fashion/commercial studio and event space in LA

Core Responsibilities

•Work with Industrial Color Brands CFO & Controller to provide financial partnership including cash flow, sales forecasting, KPIs, budgets, AR and collections.
•Manage contract negotiations & bookings
•Develop deep, ongoing relationships with Magazine Editors, Print, Commercial and Film (TV and Feature) Producers, Photographers, including Photo Assistants, Directors, Photo Agents, Agency Producers, Art Buyers, and Publicists
•Maintain an extensive database of activity with these production partners including professional and personal preferences.
•Actively and effectively solicit new business by conducting sales calls, meetings, presentations and attending local industry events
•Monitor and report sales metrics and continually develop strategies to improve KPIs
•Manage prospect pipeline using CRM system
•Achieve monthly sales goals
•Update shared Event Calendar with tentative and definite business
•Manage and respond to inquires in a timely manner and create winning proposals
•Work with internal and external teams to ensure perfectly executed bookings from estimating to completion
•Process estimates, booking confirmations, insurance certificates, advances, invoices account applications and required business paperwork
•Entertain potential and current clients i.e. lunches, drinks, gallery openings, etc…
•Travel to NYC and other markets as needed/reasonable to visit with clients and potential clients.
•Consult with clients to understand their production needs. Use probing questions to dig deep into each phone call. Package Smashbox services to provide seamless one stop shop experience.
•Ensure that new accounts and existing clients have successful experiences and become enthusiastic, repeat client of Smashbox Studios.
•Competitive pricing and packaging analysis

Required Experience
•Minimum 3 years related sales and production experience
•Mastery of sales/negotiation/closing process
•High level of creativity, enthusiasm, and flexibility
•MS Office skills (Excel, Work, databases) and competence in other popular business systems
•Solid understanding of legal contract language
•Interpersonal skills, strong guest/client relations
•Ability to plan, prioritize and organize in a fast-pace, high volume environment
•Candidates must be willing and available to work extended hours Monday through Friday in addition to weekends when needed
