A leading Direct Marketing firm is looking for a solid Art Director to join our creative department. We are looking for strong conceptual thinkers who want to innovate in the Direct Marketing arena. You will be working on a creative team in an exciting Direct Marketing environment creating engaging and compelling communications for some of our biggest clients. You must have a passion for print and digital design and must be able to solve design challenges in a fast-paced team environment. A deep understanding of brand identity and guidelines is critical. This position will be a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. This position is located in New York City.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
•Create sophisticated Direct Marketing campaigns across channels, primarily print.
•Deliver strong conceptual thinking and manage the creative process from conception through execution with both Senior and Jr. team members.
•Manage and oversee the artistic design of print materials and some digital assets while ensuring high quality in very tight time frames.
•Prepare optimized /print ready files for print production and web development
•Help to maintain design consistency and excellence across clients’ branded communications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
•5+ years of professional print, web, and interactive graphic design experience. Direct Marketing experience highly preferred
•Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
•Strong conceptual and outside the box thinking
•Excellent portfolio showcasing distinct design skills with attention to detail and typography
•Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite. Flash and HTML experience a plus
•Very detail-oriented, strong proof reading, and an eagle eye for design details, such as typography, alignment, etc
•Strong photo manipulation skills for executing digital concepts
•Working knowledge of Flash animation and experience with motion design preferred but not necessary
•Ability to work independently as well as manage resources
•Must communicate well with all involved parties on a project, such as creative services team and key account leads as necessary
