Business Strategy and Operations Manager
The Role:The Business Strategy and Operations Manager will be responsible for the financial forecasting, strategic planning, and execution of key projects for Bloomberg Content Service, a division of the Bloomberg Media. Bloomberg Content Service is responsible for working with third party partners around the world to license and distribute our television, video, news, data and photo content. The position will report to the GM of Bloomberg Content Service. Key Responsibilities include:- Collaborate with business and finance leaders to develop and communicate detailed business plans, as part of strategic planning process - Build financial forecasting models and other financial tools to analyze business trends - Manage team operating calendar and monitor next steps in conjunction with project management. - Monitor competition and industry trends/data. - Develop and manage special projects that cut across business units (e.g. television, web, mobile)- Develop internal and external communications, as needed for senior leadership Qualifications:- Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top-tier school. - 3+ years recent/relevant experience with a top management consulting firm or investment bank, or a similar fast-paced, analytical environment- Experience with media organizations required, preferably across multiple platforms (e.g. television, online, mobile)- Experience structuring presentations with PowerPoint, modeling with Excel, and drafting concise business communications- Ability to work both individually and to manage/lead team projects and team members, often across reporting lines- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to draw strategic conclusions from disparate facts.- Strong written and oral communication skills- Relationship-builder who can influence and direct others, often without direct line reporting authority- Desire to succeed in a demanding, innovative, and entrepreneurial environment; self-motivated.
