This role involves supporting the marketing manager in portfolio marketing activities with planning, development and execution of marketing activities and the provision of marketing intelligence (though reporting and analysis) across designated lists, products, or channel. The role is additionally responsible for managing and monitoring: team members; budgets; and ensuring targets and development goals are achieved.

Key Accountabilities Include
•Meeting all revenue and promotional budget targets for list(s) and team
•Planning, coordinating, and implementing campaigns to an agreed set of benchmarks and within agreed budgets
•Overseeing staff to ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion and to agreed benchmarks
•Investigating and building commercial opportunities
•Analyzing and reporting on campaign and financial results using the full suite of tools available
•Undertaking and supporting market research, implementing results where appropriate
•Generating market understanding to react positively to competitor and market developments
•Creating marketing collateral in support of sales activities, internal presentations, or campaigns as required
•Accountability for managing own learning, taking responsibility to identify and develop skills gaps
•Overseeing team members and encouraging their continued development through training opportunities, workshops, etc.

Knowledge and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
•Degree level or equivalent professional qualification
•Experience in a marketing environment, understanding of the role of marketing and the implementation of marketing campaigns
•Sales Experience/Knowledge
•Knowledge and ability with IT systems including core MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Power Point), web/cloud based databases, CMS, email creation platforms and/or other bespoke IT systems
•Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness – including the competitive environment, potential partner organizations, and market trends
•2-4 year experience in publishing or related field
