Digital Media Manager

We promote programs on the ground and invest in social enterprises that create pathways to financial security and opportunity for millions of people.We now seek a Digital Media Manager to partner in the conception, planning and implementation of comprehensive organizational and programmatic branding and messaging initiatives to include online campaign communications, user engagement tactics, and online marketing of events and programmatic initiatives. This position will be based in our Washington, DC, office, reporting to the Director of Communications. Our successful candidate will embody those values.Responsibilities:Lead the development of digital media campaigns and content, including web, blog and social mediaPlan, implement, manage, monitor and evaluate social media strategies across all program areas and social media platforms, including the growth of CFED’s online community of supportersPlan, implement, manage, monitor and evaluate online ad campaigns on platforms such as Google Adwords and Facebook AdsParticipate in the conception, development and execution of digital marketing plans for all CFED constituencies, events, publication releases and other organizational branding efforts, helping to identify and leverage opportunities across programmatic areasApply digital marketing analytics to perpetually refine existing marketing campaigns and inform the conception and development of new onesBuild new relationships and manage existing relationships with digital content professionals at CFED’s partner organizations at the national, state and tribal levelsPlan, implement and manage an ongoing online story collection campaign to gather stories from the field by building relationships with partners and story subjects and presenting it in a compelling way for web usePartner closely as a thought leader with the staff of the 1:1 Fund, CFED’s social venture that uses an online platform to solicit donations to match deposits into college savings accounts; help develop and drive forward discrete marketing campaigns in support of key fundraising and visibility objectives Serve as system administrator for CFED’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, to include maintaining accurate records, managing subscriber segments, and planning and implementing list development strategies to increase number of engaged subscribersAssist in the development and distribution of CFED’s editorial content including the Inclusive Economy blog, newsletters and e-blasts.Collaborate with the Resource Development Team to increase online donations and ensure appropriate recognition of CFED’s funder partners in marketing materials and other collateralManage CFED’s internal communications, including the dissemination of Developments, the organization’s semi-weekly internal newsletterProvide general communications support as needed to the Communications team and full CFED staff.Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field, or equivalent work experienceThree to five years of experience in marketing, outreach, digital content and/or social media, including leveraging digital marketing and social media initiatives as part of a broader, integrated communications strategy; demonstrable knowledge of digital marketing and social media best practicesPrevious experience and skill using data and Google Analytics to drive communications strategiesPrevious professional experience and proficiency with social media management tools such as HootSuite, Buffer App and Sprout SocialEffective oral communication and presentation skills in both small and large group formatsStrong interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders and identify common goalsStrong writing abilities including demonstrable skill writing and editing for a range of electronic formatsExcellent organization skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlinesProficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online research databases required; prior CRM experience preferredFamiliarity with graphic design software and HTML preferredBasic photography skills preferredCFED is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
