Minimum Education & Experience
Master's degree preferred (journalism or environmental science preferred). Five to 10 years' on major news publications, with specific responsibility for developing energy news content. Experience with online formats, including blogs. Experience with contributors. Experience with being interviewed by other mainstream media in order to promote the GEC. Experience public speaking/moderation.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Proficiency in producing energy stories for a discerning audience. Attention to accuracy and detail, with well-honed sense of what makes a credible energy news story. Thorough knowledge of journalism ethics and standards. Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate effectively with colleague and contributing writers. Ability to work independently, under pressure, and on deadline. Ability to engage leading academic and industry experts in energy with competence and poise. Ability to make public presentations to experts and moderate expert debates with confidence.
