PRB seeks a multimedia producer to manage the production of multimedia content for PRB, including videos, data visualizations, interactive graphics, and infographics on population, health, and environment. The position is responsible for developing, producing, and editing multimedia content, including videos that feature interviews with demographic experts. The multimedia producer is responsible for managing consultants, supervising graphic designer, and working with staff to develop new multimedia projects. The multimedia producer manages and updates PRB’s YouTube and Soundcloud accounts.Primary Responsibilities•Develops, produces, and edits multimedia content, including videos that feature interviews with demographic experts or news about demographic trends. Sets up video shoots, operates camera, finalizes script, edits videos, and/or manages videographers for other projects.•Manages the production process of all PRB data visualizations, including identifying topics and publications that would benefit from accompanying data visualizations, supervising the graphic designer through the design and production process, and working with staff to create content.•Serves as a member of PRB’s multimedia strategic committee, which provides guidance for all PRB’s multimedia products. Develops and ensures compliance with PRB design guidelines and photo/editorial policies.•Act as PRB staff resource for multimedia technology and trends.•Attends professional meetings and conferences to represent PRB and to record video/audio interviews as needed. Some meetings may be held in venues outside the United States.Qualifications•BA degree in related field with 5-6 years’ experience in multimedia content development, especially in data visualization.•Five+ years’ experience with basic video production and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro) and data visualization/animation software. Experience with additional Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus.
