The Marketing Executive, Portfolio, is responsible for implementing tactical marketing activities to time and agreed budget; producing performance marketing reports through the use of web analytics and intercompany systems; and supporting the Portfolio Marketing team with daily marketing activities as necessary to carry out the portfolio marketing strategy . This position reports in to the Senior Marketing Manager, Portfolio.

Key Tasks:
• Supports cross portfolio marketing team through implementation of digital and off-line marketing activities, including emails, banner ads, eTOC alerts, print ads, conference collateral
• Promote journal content through social platforms
• Creation of posters, backdrops and collateral material for use at scientific conferences.
• Produce key reports monitoring team marketing activities and results, including web traffic and campaign results
• Assist in providing data and additional information when necessary for annual and midyear reporting
• Represent the marketing department at key exhibitions around the world when needed

• Professional maturity, able to work in a service orientated environment
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Willingness to bring innovative marketing ideas to the team
• Excellent time and organizational management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Numerical aptitude
• Solid understanding of web analytics such as Webtrends and Google Analytics
• Social media marketing expertise and awareness
• Creative sense, copywriting, and excellent proof-reading skills
• Awareness of global marketing trends and techniques and a commitment to developing marketing best practice

The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of marketing experience, preferably in an STM or publishing environment, with a clear understanding of the marketing mix, and demonstrable experience in web analytics and using the social platform to drive usage, brand loyalty, and ROI. Education: B.A. or B.S. with a preferred concentration in business or marketing.
