Description:
The Media Asset Manager is responsible for managing corporate media assets for Comcast. This individual will help build, organize and maintain a new asset management system from the ground up. He/she will be responsible for the gathering, input, management, archiving and transcoding of Comcast Corporate Communications media assets. This opportunity requires an experienced production professional with the ability to manage the entire media asset lifecycle, from devising strategies around metadata and search to managing the retrieval/archive process.

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
•Ingest–Adding files and metadata to a central repository.
•Annotate–Commenting, collaborating and/or making notes on assets to determine and control uses and promote an asset’s ability to be repurposed effectively. Create keyword hierarchies so assets can be located quickly.
•Catalog–Indexing and classifying assets so they can be controlled and easily retrieved by users.
•Store–Preserving the integrity of the digital file and its metadata for the lifetime of an asset so that it can be controlled, versioned, repurposed and archived.
•Retrieve– Searching, finding, accessing and/or delivering assets efficiently
•Editing—basic editing skills to maintain assets as well as contribute to production needs
•Training—update users as needed as well as help introduce new users to system

Requirements:
•3-5 years of demonstrated success implementing media asset management solutions and workflows in AVID or similar systems
•Operational knowledge of transcoding applications such as Telestream or Sorenson.
•Operational knowledge of archiving middleware such as Front Porch, SGL or similar
•Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
•Competency with editing and television production applications and formats
•Strong knowledge of IT, computer systems, networking and windows server systems
•BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience
