As Mechanical Engineer II, you will:
3D Part/Assy Design: Sheet metal, Injection molded, Milled and other
Design, implement, debug and improve systems for 3D printing and other technologies
Create and revise technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing
Perform Root Cause Analysis and contribute to Continual Improvement Process
Acquire and test prototype systems
Create SolidWorks models and simulations

To be considered for the Mechanical Engineer II position, you need:
BA/BS degree in engineering or similar field
2+ years experience part/assembly design: broad technical knowledge of mechanical systems and (drive train) components
Experience with Injection molded part design
Knowledge of manufacturing, tooling techniques/capabilities: (CNC, Laser, Injection Molding, Formed parts, etc.)
Knowledge of materials, uses and characteristics: Plastics, Metals
Knowledge of hardware: standard/metric, screws, bolts, pins: (clearance, tap, press fits, etc.)
Strong experience with SolidWorks, FEA tools: familiar with Best Practices and Design Intent as related to CAD Sketches and Feature Structure
Ability to think quickly and act decisively
Ability to work in a team
Ability to work independently
Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This employer will not sponsor applications for work/student Visas.

Extra Experience counts too!
Direct experience with 3D printing or with MakerBot products
Experience in consumer product manufacturing and engineering
Experience working in a hardware startup company
Member of the open source 3D printing community
Machine Design Experience
