Responsibilities:Execute the marketing strategy to grow the CfA network of cities, citizens, donors, supporters, and community organizationsDrive engagement in programs, tools, and resources across constituent groupsCreate and implement recruitment strategies for each program -- Fellowship, Brigade, Peer Network, Code for All, Startups, Fundraising, Tech -- that appeal to engineers, designers, municipal governments, citizens and organizationsManage and collaborate with Marketing Coordinator to draft content for various platforms, events, initiatives, social mediaManage and update website, implement email sends, social media postsCollaborate with the Data and Analytics Manager to ensure data is captured consistently, leveraged effectively, and used to inform decision making, recruitment, fundraisingAttend, staff, and/or manage events to drive program recruitment and network growthManage collateral development in coordination with Visual Designer and Marketing Coordinator and ensure all content and creative is consistent with CfA’s brandCoordinate video development from concept to completion, including story development, with contractractors as neededRequirements:Interest in making our communities better; passionate about local governmentAble to receive and incorporate constructive feedbackExperience with audience segmentation and tailoring communications accordinglyExperience creating, implementing, and measuring online and traditional marketing outreach including social media, web, email, database, speaker placement, printExcellent written and verbal communication skills -- including the ability to converse appropriately with high level donors, senior government officials, and the mediaExperience managing vendors, projects, and peopleAbility to understand analytics and integrate learnings into executionExpert of the internet and master of the computer (HTML, WordPress, GitHub, Adobe CS skills appreciated); interested in technology and in gaining more tech skillsOrganized, deadline driven, and able to manage multiple projects and engagement simultaneouslyThrives in a fast-paced, mission driven organization -- happy to dive in and do what needs to get done, even if it’s not part of this job description: a doerMinimum 4-5 years marketing experience, preferably in government technology or relevant non-profitIf you’re looking for a place to learn, grow your skills, do good, and be empowered to put you ideas into action, CfA is it.Code for America offers full health and dental benefits, a 401k plan with matching funds and a culture that is collaborative, hardworking and fun (ping pong skills valued ;)We are a four year old startup non-profit with a great culture and a huge opportunity to make a difference.
