The Information Designer is responsible for the development of design concepts, design extensions and implementation materials for simplified communications, annual reports, corporate branding and other corporate literature and interactive communications programs.

Position Responsibilities
•Position requires highly analytical designer capable of visualizing conceptual models of the problems identified within clients’ current communications programs and the solutions proposed.
•Experience in design for content-heavy formats (forms, statements, disclosure documents, handbooks, instructions, etc.)
•Well versed in designing materials for print-on-demand delivery and other alternative outputs
•Multimedia experience (Web, Keynote and PowerPoint required)
•Comfortable with content-driven design
•Seeks clarity over aesthetics
•Works closely with simplification strategists and writers as well as other designers.
•Develops user personas, scenarios of use, and interaction models
•Creates wireframes and functional prototypes/final comps
•Participates in user testing or fieldwork
•Compiles and prepares materials for the design brief
•Develops design concepts that meet the communication objectives presented in the design brief
•Refines concepts and develops identity extension prototypes
•Accepts creative input from the Design Director and Creative Director, continuing to refine and adjust design concepts to meet the agreed communication objectives
•Presents creative solutions, along with the Design Director and Creative Director, to the client.
•Participates in the preparation of materials for client presentations.
•Maintains proper job archive files at the completion of jobs.
•Attends and participates in creative review sessions, articulating the specifics of his or her particular design directions as well as offering constructive input to other designers’ work in progress

Skills And Criteria
•BA or MA in Interaction Design, Multimedia Design and/or Information Design
•2-3 years of experience
•Strong Web/print portfolio
•Familiarity with user-centered design and information architecture
•Excellent Macintosh computer skills, including proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML, DHTML, CSS and After Effects
•Ability to get along with others
•Good communication skills
•Professional appearance
