Ms. Jennifer Clare
A major media/publishing company seeks a part-time editor to oversee content, develop and maintain tone, occasionally write, and ensure quality of copy for a new weekly email/website. In addition to copy editing/proofreading, the editor will have a leadership voice in the launch and ongoing content development, curation and community strategy. The editor will audit experts in the category to identify partners/influencers/authors and work collaboratively to create exclusive content/events focused around the category. The editor will work with the team to develop an editorial calendar of branded material combined with curated “best of” third party content, as well as engage and activate the category’s blogging and influencer community. The editor will work to ensure timely receipt, editing, and production of all materials. Children's book or early childhood education experience a plus.

The Project: This endeavor will be comprised of 3-5 posts per week, whose tone will be savvy and straightforward, comprehensive but not rambling, smart but not esoteric. The site’s content will not read as catalog/marketing copy and will instead use a more relatable tone to appeal to women interested in reading/books. Content may include straight reviews, lists, interviews, video, or other book-related assets.
