Maxim Magazine is hiring a Social Media Community Manager to continue to build & execute the brand’s Social Media strategy and content for all social channels including, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and more. This exciting role will act as a brand representative through interacting and engaging with fans. A key function of this role will be to work across multiple areas ensuring that our creative content gets the most possible mileage while keeping the brand voice consistent. Create & facilitate a weekly calendar and report on the successes and opportunities in the social space.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Work with our editorial team on developing and executing a Social Media Strategy
  2. Manage, monitor and mediate all social platforms
  3. Understand and help further develop voice of the brand on all social channels
  4. Build and maintain social calendar to promote products, events, and brand initiatives that foster two-way conversations
  5. Monitor and forecast digital trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and risks
  6. Craft and optimize brand voice across social networks
  7. Work with our conversation monitoring tools to track online conversations and sentiment
  8. Compile weekly reports on all interactions, with recommendations for possible course correction
  9. Maintain and expand a master list of key platforms, social sites and social content
  10. Work with our digital team to help identify and engage topic influencers and brand advocates
  11. Regularly provide feedback and insights gained from social media to the Print, Digital and Marketing

Skills and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. 3 years of experience in social media
  3. Strong writing and communication skills and grammatical proficiency
  4. Excellent time management/ project skills
  5. Comfortable and confident in making effective decisions in a timely manner
  6. Goal orientated: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
  7. Believes in the power of brands and is excited at the prospect of interacting with people online on behalf of a consumer brand
  8. Ability to communicate results to team and management and to thrive in a fast paced environment
  9. Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
  10. Excels at research, is able to identify opportunities in social media content
  11. An ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
  12. An understanding of social monitoring and web analytic tools and a history of using analytics to improve results
  13. Ability to perform basic statistical analysis to gauge content performance and audience engagement, and inform strategies for growth in these areas
