As one of our Gen-Y writers you will be a pro at finding stories that entertain and inform your peers. Your headlines will be clever, your copy will be clean and your social media posts will be impossible to resist. You will be the person in your group of friends who knows things first; who forwards the stories you know your friends will love and who takes pride in being well-informed.You will combine compelling writing/storytelling with engaging topics to provide readers with unique stories as well as useful information. You will cover one of our mainstream beats and have no problem filing three pieces of shareable content a week.You will own your beat and have the skills and tenacity to find the influencers, events and organizations to cover that will make you an authority in your space.You will have a strong list of bylines, be very active on social media and be comfortable on tight deadlines. Qualified candidates will be working with veterans of MTV, E!, VH1, Nickelodeon, Disney, MGM, Buena Vista, Omnicom Group and Yahoo! to build a media company that is the go-to destination for Millennials who want to live a good, exciting, impactful life. This is a long-term contract, paid position with branding, sponsoring and marketing opportunities.
