ABRAMS seeks an organized, detailed-oriented individual with a strong interest in children's book publishing, to provide administrative support to projects and activities for the Children's Marketing & Publicity Department team and to coordinate activities to create public awareness of ABRAMS children's books. Individual will be responsible for assisting in book marketing campaigns and author tours; coordinating social media activities; organizing materials for Trade Shows and attending as needed; trafficking promotion materials; researching and developing outreach opportunities for title marketing campaigns and niche marketing efforts; compiling sales information; creating and writing materials such as press releases and press kits; booking media tours for authors; preparing mailings for reviewers and tracking their status; and providing general administrative back-up support (maintaining databases, coding invoices; tracking expenses; filing, faxing and photocopying). Salary: low $30s.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree; excellent command of the English language (both oral and written); good telephone and email manner; ability to work well under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Computer literate. Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel. HTML and InDesign/Photoshop skills a plus.
