Description

The Producer, Corporate Communications, reports to the Senior Producer, Corporate Communications. The Producer is a key member of the Corporate Communications team and interacts regularly with the employee services groups including Human Resources, Facilities, Corporate Conventions and Scholastic Technology Services, as well as the business units, Children’s Book Publishing & Distribution, Education, International and Media.

Responsibilities
•Facilitate the collection and distribution of company news geared toward employees, providing writing and editing services as needed
•Write and edit content for the Intranet covering company- and industry-specific news
•Build, maintain and publish pages for the Intranet using both HTML/CSS and Drupal (and other CMSs)
•Implement changes and administer content on the Intranet and on the “About Scholastic” pages of the company website in Drupal and other CMSs
•Maintain select corporate email distribution lists, generate HTML emails
•Work on projects as directed by the Senior Producer and the Senior Director, Internal Communications and Social Media

Required Qualifications
•BA/BS or higher degree is required
•3 plus years of experience required
•Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills
•Accuracy and diligent fact checking
•Ability to work with both technical and editorial teams and facilitate communications between them
•Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
•Project management expertise
•Ability to work with multiple teams, on multiple projects, simultaneously with attention to detail and strong time management
•Proven ability to translate expressed needs and ideas into concepts and designs for Intranet pages and content by collaborating with internal stakeholders
•Demonstrated proficiency in web languages (HTML, CSS)
•Experience administrating CMSs such as WordPress or Drupal
•Strong interpersonal skills and professional presentation
