Ad Age -- the leading source of news, information and insight into the marketing, advertising and media business -- is seeking a multimedia producer to help maintain and manage our digital presence. We’re looking for someone who has an appreciation for the future of media, has a background specifically in digital photo and video production, has experience in creating great user experiences, an interest in helping a leading news organization thrive in a digital age, and knowledge of the tools and technologies that will grow Ad Age’s online presence. This will be a key member of our team and will work collaboratively with our reporters, editors, and developers, and will have the opportunity to touch many parts of what we do digitally.

Job Responsibilities:
• Support both the Creativity and Ad Age editorial teams in photo and video production, editing, resizing, posting, and archiving.
• Work closely with reporters and editors on an as-needed basis to create and package charts, graphics, and slideshows.
• Use HTML/CSS to build novel presentations for non-traditional stories and story elements, working closely with content team to conceive and develop new ways to tell stories (both for daily content and print-to-Web).
• Work closely with the Web design and development team to build out both front end and back end products for users and editors.
• Continually improve our online user experience.
• Support Creativity with ongoing partner and customer interactions and support.
• Aggressively keep pace with trends in online storytelling and digital media. Job
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong background in Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Quicktime Pro and a keen visual sense to put them to use
• Fluency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Data visualization experience, and a knack for conceiving and creating charts and graphs from data
• Strong prioritization and communication skills
• Proficiency with content management systems and third-party systems and platforms (ex: Basecamp, BrightCove, Jira)
• Strong design and user experience skills
• Ability to work quickly and accurately
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Use and appreciation of social media, content syndication and other new forms of distribution
