Our Public Affairs Department has an opening for a Publications Designer in our New York Office.

The Opportunity:

The Publications Designer will enjoy working in a fast-paced, service-oriented, challenging environment. As the firm’s editorial staff, the Public Affairs team works with internal subject matter experts to create a wide range of print and electronic publications used to educate clients and serve as marketing material. The team works closely with the National Sales & Marketing Department and other staff, as well as with external print vendors to complete a wide variety of projects.

This position is responsible for producing publications from concept through production (layout and graphic design, image management, maintenance of company print standards/consistency, production and delivery); formatting HTML e-publications; processing and maintaining records for vendor invoices. Additional responsibilities include managing relationships with outside printers and vendors; coordinating activity for recurring and one-time print jobs; acquiring new resources for print production; and, assisting business units in maintaining and updating print and electronic manuals and forms.

The Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of two years work experience preferably in a professional services environment as a graphic designer/publications designer
• Ability to prioritize work
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 and Microsoft 2010 suites in the Windows 7 operating system.
• Familiarity with Quark 9 and Macintosh OS X is also essential.
• Ability to work in HTML is desirable.
