Cambridge University Press, a worldwide leader in academic publishing, is seeking a talented, driven, and innovative senior designer for the English Language Teaching (ELT) group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating sophisticated, multi-faceted design for our worldwide audience. They will lead brainstorming, concept development, and design of integrated marketing campaigns, as well as mentoring and leading other designers in our team.

The Senior Designer will communicate their conceptual ideas and visual solutions effectively and be comfortable presenting them to a variety of audiences. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a growing global design team at an established, prestigious organization, situated in the fabulous Tribeca area in downtown Manhattan.

Qualifications:

• Passionate about grids, design systems, and user experiences.
• Able to quickly understand design briefs and deliver appropriate research, concepts, and finished work.
• Willing to challenge and clearly redefine interface and design requirements.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable presenting design concepts and methodology.
• Able to manage multi-faceted design and marketing projects.
• Comfortable working in a global team.
• Proven experience mentoring and leading design teams.
• 4-6 years proven design experience and a deep understanding of print/digital design principles.
• Experience developing and implementing digital pattern libraries and visual style guides.
• Advanced skill with Adobe Creative Suite software.
• Proficient with HTML/CSS, and understands front-end frameworks like Foundation and Bootstrap, and has experience building or designing responsive websites.
• Professional design qualification or degree and online portfolio are required.
