Fordham Institute’s editorial assistant.Responsibilities•With Fordham’s online editor, copy edit and post articles for our various newsletters, including the Education Gadfly and Ohio Education Gadfly•Copyedit, find images for, and post submissions to our various blogs•Contribute to Fordham’s blogs and newsletters•Other copyediting, including grant reports, proposals, event announcements, and memoranda•Additional responsibilities as assignedQualificationsThe successful candidate must share the core education reform values of the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, be enthusiastic about our mission, and possess the requisite knowledge, skills, and savvy to oversee and participate well in our communications functions. Proficiency with Adobe software products and a talent for data visualization are preferred but not required. Additional requirements are as follows:•Undergraduate degree•Excellent writing and editing skills•An understanding of education policy and the key players, arguments, and ideas in education reform•The ability to conceptualize and communicate clearly•A solid understanding of the ever-evolving media environment •The ability to work in a fast paced, results-oriented environmentNo phone calls please.
