Sales Operations Manager, Time Home Entertainment Inc.
The Sales Operations Manager will manage support functions critical to the Time Inc. Retail Sales Force and their productivity and achievement of goals. This position is responsible for administrative and operational sales support of the Time Inc Retail team, and will also work closely with our distributor on all logistics related to our titles, displays and their systems set up. The successful candidate will need to handle a wide variety of tasks including dealing with orders from key account customers to ensure effective order processing and address issues raised by a number of teams across the business. This is a pivotal role as it is a central point of contact for distribution, operations and logistics. This position reports to the Executive Director, Business Development.


Supports sales efforts of Time Inc. Retail Sales
Work with Sales Management on Account/Rep Goals
Clear and concise communications between the sales and publisher
Monitoring individual and account performance by reviewing monthly/daily sales reports
Identifying key titles for each rep/account
Handle distribution of sales materials to reps/accounts
Coordinate all distribution information set up for new book titles
Solicit and collect estimates for call to print process
Maintain download files for all covers and descriptions to online retailers
Encouraging best sales practices with reps and soliciting feedback from reps and accounts


Bachelor’s degree
5-8 years of sales experience within the publishing industry
Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sales presentations to large groups
Detail oriented
Strong analytical skills
Mastery of excel -both data entry and spreadsheet formulation, PowerPoint and Word
