Assistant Online Marketing Manager
The Assistant Online Marketing Manager is responsible for management and growth of OUP’s website content plans and sourcing, merchandising, and onsite promotions with the goal of increasing user engagement and conversion. This individual carries out a variety of digital marketing tasks: developing the plans for continued and sustained rollout of content on key discipline gateways, resource centers, home page, and corporate pages. Role requires close collaboration with colleagues within the direct response team as well as product marketing, exhibits, technology, and customer service to ensure that all efforts are coordinated effectively. Manages a team of 2-3. Flexibility, strong communication skills, organization, and attention to detail are all critical success qualities. Primary Responsibilities:Website Content Management and Merchandising•Develop seasonal calendar and promotions for discipline gateways •Schedule and lead planning sessions with product marketing to ensure plans are up to date and actionable as well as aligned with overall goals.•Cross divisional promotional campaigns -- campaign planning and management•Develop the strategy including the offers, title selection, and plans for driving traffic and increasing conversion.•Manage the campaign execution including determining user journeys and any necessary bespoke navigation, quality check on web catalogue, evaluation of mix of titles to determine optimal promotion plan•Work with creative services to have all appropriate creative developed•Create the landing pages for campaigns. Affiliates•Collaborate with product marketing to assist with managing our affiliate marketing program with associations with areas of responsibilities including but not limited to:oAnalyze campaigns and reporting through clearly defined metrics.oManage landing page development, research and optimization initiatives to improve conversion. oManage execution of promotional initiatives, including email campaignsMetrics•Collect and analyze performance of website metrics •Set benchmark metrics and goals to align with overarching revenue and customer engagement goals. Job Ad Requirements•Must be highly self-motivated, articulate, possess a strong creative flair and solid copywriting skills•Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills•Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines •Proven track record developing online marketing campaigns •Confidence and adaptability in using new content management tools and database systems•Proficiency with HTML and Dreamweaver is highly-preferable. Experience with CSS and Adobe Photoshop is beneficial.•Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) are required.•BA or BS degree with a minimum of 4 years of online marketing experience.
