Requirements Position Description:

Product designers collaborate with product owners and technical architects to define the features of our digital education products. Exercising their user centered design powers they make our users awesome at the things they do with our products. Our product design team perfects their work through design critiques, technical reviews, stakeholder reviews, and testing with end users, then work closely with our product development teams to deliver best of breed experiences to our users.

Major Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and technical architects to define the requirements for digital education products
• Visually document how users will interact with product features through
• sketches
• flow diagrams
• static wireframes
• clickable wireframes
• visual design comps
• Validate designs through peer review and lightweight user tests via paper or clickable prototypes
• Assist product owners in communicating features to product scrum teams and assist in addressing any questions, feedback, or suggestions that arise during that communication
• Collaborate with Product owners to prioritize usability studies for product features, conduct those studies, and collaborate with Product owners on how to improve the product based on findings

Required skills:
• Collaborate effectively in self-organized multidisciplinary teams
• Design effective solutions at the product, interaction, and interface level across multiple platforms (mobile, tablet, desktop)
• Apply best practices of information architecture and information design
• Design product features from inception through wireframing and final visual design
• Effective use of typography within design solutions to underscore the information design
• Collaborate with other designers to refine skills through design critiques/peer review
• Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator
• InVision or similar design collaboration systems
• Highly organized – able to work on multiple products in our portfolio simultaneously and share deliverables and source files with teammates effectively

Desired skills:
• Experience delivering online courses, learning management systems, classroom teaching
• Agile software process, particularly user story definition and grooming
• Confluence or similar wiki systems
• JIRA or similar ticketing systems

Experience Needed:
• 3 years in product design, interaction design, user experience design
• Experience in digital education products preferred

Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor's degree required, design field preferred
