In this role you’ll be successful if you can:

Lead the email planning, design and production teams through planning, prioritizing and producing timely, effective emails.
Achieve enrollment and revenue goals by implementing effective tests in order to maximize customer performance and interaction.
Collaborate across the marketing teams to ensure email campaigns deliver a relevant customer experience based on user segment.
Manage a team of 2 as they execute against overall channel strategy
Foster relationships and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including executive leadership, technical and database resources, production resources, and creative resources to ensure seamless delivery of emails as expected
Increase success from in-depth analysis of campaigns. Monitor metrics to identify trends and provide strategic direction for future campaigns, tests or additional programs.
Automate reporting summarizing performance of various campaigns based on advanced segments and business units
Contribute to strategic planning and execution of initiatives across all customer segments, categories and business segments.
Define goals and requirements for any tools needed by the marketing team and work across functional groups to bring these to fruition.
Leverage SQL database to answer strategic questions and generate actionable insights
Ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Experience managing front-line revenue day-to-day at scale
Guiding, mentoring and managing direct reports
Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills are required.
Must possess an understanding of basic online principles, including user interface best practices. Experience working with in-app push notifications a plus.
Bachelor’s degree; marketing, communications, statistics or management information systems a plus
3-5+ years experience contributing to digital marketing strategy at a startup or large multi-channel retailer preferred
Experience creating and managing large scale email campaigns using an ESP like ExactTarget or Responsys a plus.
Good project management and communication skills with ability to make business cases
Strong financial/analytical skills; experience in A/B and multivariate testing a plus
Highly effective organizational planning, judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication ability across channels
Ability to think creatively, structure ambiguous problems, and synthesize analyses to generate insights and actionable plans.
Predisposition to find an 80/20 solution and focus on rapid iteration of ideas.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables
Flexibility and deadline orientation - Position requires being open to change and to considerable variety in the workplace
Time management, patience and team work are important to be successful in this role
Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as Excel required
Thrive under pressure
