The successful candidate must be a strong communicator and have the ability to influence and educate diverse sets of teams and functions in the organization. In addition to building our member base, the VP is also responsible for all aspects of marketing and branding within the organization, and oversees the organization’s events team. The Vice President of Membership Development and Marketing must provide strategic vision and oversight to enhance CPM’s public image and build strong ties with the community.


  • * 10+ years of experience in customer acquisition and retention marketing practices;
  • * Experience building strong marketing campaigns from the ground up, especially digital marketing acquisition experience;
  • * Passion for the “big idea,” but is also data-driven and able to measure the impact of campaigns through analytics;
  • * Has demonstrated excellence in driving conversion online and offline;
  • * Has deep experience with analytics and using data and metrics to inform strategies;
  • * Is a strategic thinker who can collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders and a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams;
  • * Has proven ability to build strong teams and lead teams;
  • * Is passionate about the mission of public media.
