We’re looking for a dynamic professional to join our world-class digital advertising team as The Washington Post’s National Sales Planner. It’s an exciting chance to combine your analytical and creative thinking to craft custom digital advertising programs for one of the world’s most trusted and respected news sources. You’ll create innovative digital advertising solutions for agencies and internal/external clients. You’ll produce creative presentations that engage and inform. You’ll contribute each and every day to driving our digital advertising sales revenue. And you’ll play a starring role in how The Washington Post evolves in step with the changing landscape of the 21st-century media industry.

Responsibilities include:
Develop a strong understanding The Washington Post’s digital value proposition and become an expert in the digital products offered
Build and develop new online programs that meet our clients’ needs
Write strategic positioning for products and packages
Create proposals and advertising campaign ideas that include online research to support proposal, product information, product pricing, screen shots or mock ups, and an overall story
Fill out appropriate proposal spreadsheets, build presentation materials, communicate online ad specifications and enter proposal data in relevant systems as required
Aid in campaign optimizations and understand online inventory
Engage customers in written form and over the phone
Facilitate cross-company communications among various offices
Provide sales support by helping teams prepare for sales calls, building client relations, staying abreast of agency/client accounts, notifying team of product changes and implementing sales strategies

Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing or Business
3–5+ years of experience
2–3 years of experience working in a digital environment (desired)
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
An interest in online advertising industries
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of MediaVisor, Atlas, DART Sales Manager,
Ability to quickly learn new software (desired)
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
A proactive, customer service, solution-oriented attitude
