Summary: The Designer performs assigned duties to produce top quality sales and marketing collateral to support products for the supplemental educational market. Solutions must meet project requirements and remain in accordance with Carson-Dellosa style guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop knowledge of the company's vision and core values, business objectives, policies and procedures.
• Create designs, assigned by the director, that are cutting edge and meet marketing objectives, while staying within specified budget constraints and maintaining established schedule on all projects.
• Produce concepts through final art/design using digital applications for catalogs, flyers, ads, sell sheets, signage, trade show graphics and presentations using director's input and established marketing objectives.
• Conduct art/design/production checks at all stages. Collaborate with staff from the editorial, marketing, sales and pre press departments while performing routine backups of all documents, art, and system files. Needs to be team and deadline oriented and have the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Utilize necessary internal servers, FileMaker and asset management system to organize, prepare and provide product and composite image requests to dealers and sales partners. Work with cross-departmental associates to track progress of cleanup/organization of existing asset management system.
• When requested, take on overflow product development (book covers, interiors, production and packaging) art and design as needed. Research, coordinate and organize tasks to complete the projects according to established time lines and budgets. Work as part of a team, anticipate, understand, and satisfy the changing needs of our customers. Create mockups as needed and product development ideas that make their way to the active Pub Plan.
• Responsible for quality, accuracy, and content of assigned products.
• Set and achieve high performance standards concerning outcomes that are important to the business; to attain clear, concrete, timely, and measurable results using multiple disciplines on a consistent basis.
• Job may require overtime and/or flexible work shifts.
• Coordinate projects with freelancers as needed.

Education, Experience and Abilities:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
