Allied Health Media (AHM) is looking for a talented, wear-many-hats graphic designer to drive user engagement for a collection of online websites & communities (Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists), and to create a template of best practices that will help us achieve optimal user experiences on and off line.

From strategy to layout, you will interact with other designers and writers to help shape the Allied Health Media story. Under the direction of the Creative Director and Lead Designer, the Graphic Designer will collaborate in the strategy, conception, and design of Allied Health Media print pieces and other branded materials. The Graphic Designer will be a key member in helping lead creative direction. You should possess excellent visual design skills, experience designing printed collateral evidenced by a great portfolio and working with design (html & css is a huge plus), and an eagerness to grow in this role.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support various internal teams with graphics for lead generation, both print and digital, under the guidance of the Lead Designer
  • Create web based images and banner advertising, along with interactive display ads
  • Design engaging social media graphics for multiple platforms and users
  • Participate in creative ideation for marketing and branding campaigns
  • Create a variety of graphics, including promotional pieces, for topic based campaigns
  • Be a protector of the brand by demonstrating a talent for clean, modern graphic design that combines text and imagery in a way that’s consistent with AHM branding
  • Support and adhere to brand guidelines for both print and digital
  • Maintain project files in an organized and accessible manner, while utilizing cloud-based document sharing
  • Partner with User Experience team, product owners and developers to implement, test and iterate designs
  • Design and lay out publications and direct mail pieces
  • Design tradeshow booth display and collateral material design
  • Demonstrate the technical ability to prepare production graphics for use online and in print
  • Propose and design new ideas for enhancing engagement and fostering a community spirit among members
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Editorial, Sales, and Technology teams


The Graphic Designer will be held accountable and performance will be evaluated on ability to:

1.Maximize conversion rates for:

  • Membership purchases
  • Job listing purchases
  • Resume uploads/ Job applies

2. Enhance Corporate Partner value:

  • Increase job response rates
  • Increase resume postings
  • Increase partner content and advertising views, opens and click-through rate


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in the design field
  • Current knowledge of industry best practices
  • Proficiency designing for B2B marketing space
  • Ability to understand direction and provide design recommendations and solutions in a professional manner
  • Proven design background in online forms of communication
  • Experience with HTML and CSS
  • Experience with motion design and animation
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to monitor and manage workflow and timelines
  • A strong portfolio, available for viewing, showing great sense of design, typography, creativity, and good communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, and truly passionate for clean, modern graphic design
  • Willingness to participate in exercises to expand and evolve skills
  • Ability to stay positive under pressure
  • Creativity with an eye towards detail and perfection of user experience
  • Professional, team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solicit and incorporate diverse perspectives
  • Ability to switch easily between different projects, and flexibility to handle a rapidly changing environment while delivering high quality results

Other Requirements:
