Job Description

I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
The Copy Editor gathers and enters changes to copy instructions and materials on multiple log streams as directed by his or her manager. This position maintains material libraries for assigned stations. In addition, the Copy Editor:
* Communicates with Account Executives and/or sales managers on missing, incomplete or incorrect copy instructions.
* Produces daily dub lists and weekly purge lists for assigned stations.
* Provides second tier back-up support for Log Editors.
Conducting inventory maintenance and performs quality controls checks.

II. Essential Job Functions

80% Gathers materials and material Instructions; attaches to appropriate orders with correct dates and days.
Maintains contact with agencies, advertisers and Account Executives to ensure timely changes are made.
Monitors spot delivery services for spots and instructions and fax machines for material instructions.
10% Creates dub and purge lists and maintains material libraries.
5% Maintains files of all current year copy instructions.
5% Provides second tier back-up for Log Editors as requested. Processes future weeks inventory to assist Log Editors.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Completion of high school, or equivalent.
4-year degree in Business Administration preferred.
Experience:
Two years experience in a broadcast television station's traffic department or traffic role required.
Must be proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Previous experience with Wide Orbit highly preferred.

Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
Must be adaptable and flexible with ability to shift focus on new priorities.
