Kellogg Insight, the faculty thought leadership magazine published by the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, is looking for a freelance social media expert with strong writing skills and experience working in a publishing environment.

The specialist will be expected to find opportunities to version already-published content for social media and develop new content specifically for social media platforms.

The ideal candidate is a savvy social media user with experience utilizing and experimenting on Facebook and Twitter. A working familiarity with Medium or Tumblr is a plus. This person will have a track record of growing a quality audience and making metrics-driven decisions. Creativity and strategic-thinking skills are a must. Design skills are highly desirable.

The social media specialist will also be a talented writer with a web-friendly "voice." We welcome candidates with an insatiable sense of curiosity. Insight publishes about business topics that range from hiring biases to high-frequency trading to game theory, so the candidate must be able to write clearly and engagingly about some fairly technical topics.

This position will be paid hourly and on a freelance basis. Hours and location are flexible, though the ability to work some hours on-campus in Evanston is highly preferred.
