The Director of the Travel & Hospitality Group will be responsible for developing and directing marketing communications activities within the context of clients’ overall brand plans, to ensure the achievement of short and long term goals. The Director is also responsible for partnering with the VP/SVP, managing the team, as well as fostering client relationships and expectations, and increasing the size and scope of the current client base.


  • Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, budgets and timelines that are consistent with the overall PR strategy and that align with client goals
  • Ensure that client objectives are met on time and within budget
  • Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent, high-level media results
  • Establish media strategy & secure media placements in top tier national outlets across print, broadcast and online
  • Nurture & expand media network consistently and maintain constant awareness of changing media landscape, especially in the hospitality sector
  • Provide effective performance management
  • Proactively provide ideation, insight and counsel to client for increased media placements and overall brand awareness
  • Monitor and identify trends/hot topics and competitive landscapes in hospitality/lifestyle industries on a regular basis and apply them to programming
  • Oversee event execution and budgets in line with client platforms
  • Write/edit press and client materials POVs, strategy documents, work plans and presentations with clear strategic direction
  • Manage client expectations and maintain regular client communication
  • Develop and maintain budgets
  • Identify and forge relationships with relevant strategic partners and industry leaders
  • Drive new business initiatives, including identification of potential clients, proposal development and presentation


  • Minimum 8-10 years of public relations experience at an agency, showing advancement
  • Currently holds an Account Supervisor or Senior Account Supervisor role at a PR Agency
  • Extensive work with top-level media in the travel and lifestyle, and proven track record in securing feature placements
  • Experience representing clients and serving as the point person for driving an account forward to exceed objectives
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Proven management & leadership skills
  • Exceptional writing skills and presentation skills
  • Skilled at new business initiatives and feels confident seeking and formally presenting to potential clients
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Outgoing personality and networking ability
  • Passion for travel & hospitality and strong knowledge of the hospitality industry
