Candidates should be outstanding writers, editors, strategists, creative thinkers and savvy media relations pros. Minimum of 2 years full-time PR agency or in-house communications department experience required. Candidates must have a proven track record placing feature stories with top-tier press, including dailies, magazines, TV, and radio. Candidates should also be well versed in social media with examples of successful social campaigns they have managed.
Responsibilities include strategizing media relations and social media campaigns, mentoring junior staff, developing media pitches, writing press materials and social media posts, including opinion pieces, placing stories and media training spokespeople. Scope of work includes contributing strategic ideas and writing proposals for clients and new business prospects, as well as presenting proposals.
