While it competes with the large agencies (Saatchi, Grey etc.) and has a client list that would be the envy of any agency, it is also known for its employee-friendly culture and people are hired both for their brains/strategic thinking but also for their personality which has to be upbeat and energetic. A good sense of humor is a real asset in any candidate. As long as the work is done, Management is open to work time flexibility and recognizes that people have lives and families outside of the office.
The company's offices are in a penthouse in Chelsea, and include a wonderful terrace with spectacular views of Manhattan, and it is the scene of periodic company social events...otherwise known as cocktail parties for employees...
They are looking for a strong Account Executive to handle pieces of two of their top client brands. Candidates have to have Consumer Package Goods experience (CPG) so unless a candidate has worked on a CPG or OTC business they will not be interviewed. However, the agency has a very good mix of categories including wine, food, cosmetics, healthcare (non-pharma and pharma) and B to B. Personal accountability and independence are two necessary traits the ideal candidate should have as all account people at any level are expected to handle their business and clients on their own, and lead from the front. Senior management is involved in all projects, but as mentors and support, and only when necessary. 2-4 years experience is desired, and there is a chance for a stellar Assistant Account Executive to be promoted to Account Executive upon taking the job if offered.
This company also has a strong digital team, and while a candidate must have traditional media experience (e.g. print, broadcast etc.) they are expected to be fully integrated in skill set and perspective.
