JOB DESCRIPTION

Marketing Communications and Public Relations agency seeks qualified candidate for the position of Senior Account Executive in the Lifestyle brand division. The Senior Account Executive (SAE) will be responsible for day-to-day client management and senior level media relations.  The ideal candidate will have a track record of securing feature media placements and exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.  The candidate must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAE responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in ideation and execution of strategic media plans and develop strategic communication documents that are consistent with the overall PR strategy and that meet client objectives
  • Active involvement & participation in Developing strategic communication documents that are consistent with the overall PR strategy and that meet client objectives team planning meetings
  • Participate in cultivating client partnerships: charities,  events, awards, and CEO opportunities
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff; Serve as a manager and mentor
  • Junior level management of surrounding team of Account Executives, Associate Account Executives & team Interns
  • Develop strategic communication documents that are consistent with the overall PR strategy and that meet client objectives
  • Work with team to establish media strategy & secure media placements in top tier national media across print, broadcast and online
  • Coordinate media tours, press events and consumer events
  • Nurture & expand media network consistently and maintain constant awareness of changing media landscape
  • Proactively provide ideation, insight and counsel to client for increased media placements and overall brand awareness
  • Serve as go-to media contact on behalf of brand
  • Create and maintain press materials and client-specific brand assets
  • Maintain and update  media lists and client assets
  • Cultivate new media contacts for the group and the agency
  • Write/edit  press and client materials, POVs, strategy documents, work plans, reports and presentations
  • Manage client expectations and maintain regular client communication  (serve as day-to-day contact)
  • Monitor and identify trends in Luxury for application, as well as sharing with clients
  • Compile analytics for periodic client reports
  • Participate in New Business  meetings proposals and presentations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5+ years of public relations experience at agencies, showing advancement
  • Extensive network of personal media contacts in lifestyle, business, general interest and fashion accessories verticals. Health, wellness and beauty media a plus as well.
  • Solid understanding of what it takes to get media coverage and all tactics that may be employed
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Outgoing personality and networking ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively in all written and verbal reports
  • Must be willing to travel
