Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to support institution-wide initiatives and priorities, including digital products, public events, continuing education, and store merchandise. Work closely with colleagues responsible for product and content development, as well as admissions and development, to manage engagement communications for recruitment and fundraising campaigns. Use data and analytics to manage contact lists, maximize impact of campaigns, and shape conversion strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape and execute full-scale, data-driven email marketing campaigns that engage Juilliard’s growing global community of patrons, alumni, and the general public
  • Build, test, and deploy email campaigns including newsletters and promotional emails
  • Write and edit copy for all institutional emails
  • Create and execute automated campaigns to improve engagement
  • Conduct A/B tests and use findings to enhance email outreach efforts
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on email performance, including maintaining benchmarks and identifying potential issues
  • Manage the school’s e-communications calendar, email lists, and patron data
  • Support SEM and paid social media campaigns
  • Ensure consistency of voice and branding in all communications
  • Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with email marketing regulations and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years relevant work experience, including demonstrated experience with email creation, list building, and split testing
  • Excellent written communication skills, including copywriting and editing
  • Hands-on experience with Pardot, Constant Contact, or a comparable platform
  • Eye for design and layout; experience in the use of image editing software to optimize images for email and online use
  • Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS helpful
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify technical issues and communicate effectively with internal constituents and external vendors
  • Demonstrated time-management skills; ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks within a fast-paced business environment
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to represent the Juilliard brand well in all aspects of the job
  • Significant exposure to and/or knowledge of the performing arts is a strong plus
