Based in the Facing History and Ourselves International Headquarters in Brookline, MA, the Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role helping Facing History effectively communicate and engage our multiple audiences. Reporting to the Director of Public Engagement, this position will be responsible for a range of digital marketing activities, such as email marketing, data analytics, as well as creating, implementing, and reporting on digital marketing campaigns across channels.
It is important that the person in this role has experience using marketing and contact management platforms, providing insight on audience behavior and the effectiveness of various digital channels. This individual will also support the optimization of marketing activity, along with reporting and providing insights.
This role is part of the Public Engagement Department, and works closely with a broad range of constituents across all departments and levels of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Support all online marketing functions across digital channels to help build awareness, generate leads, and deliver on agreed upon goals
Coordinate and implement organization-wide integrated marketing calendar and the email marketing calendar, managing communication across multiple audiences
Plan, build, optimize, and track compelling and effective email marketing strategies and campaigns that coordinate with messaging across all of Facing History’s digital channels
Maintain quality and accuracy of email and audience segmentation lists; Manage the integration of data between Hubspot and Salesforce
Maintain organizational process and documentation around email and other digital marketing standards; process subscriptions/unsubscribe requests as needed
Create and maintain email templates and standards, including the creation of organizational welcome series and lead nurturing programs
Regularly analyze marketing performance metrics and execute testing cycles across channels; Identify trends and provide insights and recommendations to continuously improve reach
Stay current on industry best practices; Advance digital marketing and email strategies and organizational best practices
Provide regular reporting in both Hubspot and Salesforce for all Public Engagement activity: Including monthly reports on marketing metrics, quarterly on general Public
Engagement metrics, and of individual marketing campaigns as needed
Serve as liaison to Salesforce Administrators Team and as the primary data manager for the Public Engagement Team
Perform data entry as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required with a minimum of 2 years of experience with digital marketing, email marketing or related work
- Experience with marketing platforms; Hubspot and Salesforce is strongly preferred
- Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills; Able to work with people at all levels of an organization
- Comfort with interpreting and analyzing data
- Strong Project Management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and shifts priorities
- Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills
- Creativity, communication, collaboration, and teamwork are key in this role
