We are seeking a superstar, experienced digital seller to help grow our ad sales business from the ground up. We are a small, fast-paced digital entertainment publisher. This person will be our first ad sales hire and will cover the entire US. The position is a contract/freelance commission-based opportunity. Remote position based in NYC or Los Angeles only.

Responsibilities:

 Prospect for clients, pitch new business, build and maintain customer relationships and generate sales

 Manage a pipeline of revenue opportunities; including programmatic

 Sell standard digital ad units, including newsletters

 Create proposals in response to RFP’s, including proactive pitches

 Work with editorial and operations teams to ensure our client’s campaigns are successful

 Bring client feedback to the team to help shape our product offerings

 Utilize his or her thorough understanding of industry trends such as viewability, attribution, ad formats, etc. to think creatively and to sell strategically

Requirements:

 3+ years of entertainment sales experience, specifically including current Studio and Network contacts at the agency and client level

o Additional non-entertainment contacts HUGE PLUS

 Experience negotiating, structuring, and closing deals

 Must be a self-sufficient “hunter”

 Comfortable creating marketing materials and decks as necessary

 He or she will have a track record of success and an entrepreneurial leaning that will allow them to quickly get up to speed on our products and begin generating revenue

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Passion for entertainment
