Full Time

The Bond Buyer, the primary source of news and analysis of the $3.7 trillion municipal bond market, is looking for an energetic and aggressive reporter to cover tax, budget, and state and local issues. The focus will be on Congress, the regulatory agencies and major municipal market groups.

This is an important beat, with Republicans promising to pass a sweeping tax reform bill by August and muni market groups worried about its impact on municipal bonds.

The reporter should be a self-starter, capable of generating breaking news and enterprise stories, as well as interviews and profiles, that will be posted online and in the print edition of the paper.

At least three years of reporting and writing experience is a must. Coverage of tax issues, the financial markets, and federal and state and local budget issues is a plus.

This position is based in our Washington Bureau, which is located in Rosslyn, Va., close to the Rosslyn Metro station. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. For consideration, please send your cover letter, resume and salary history, and at least three clips of your work online. Please apply online.
