Social Media Manager
The WorldPost seeks a social media manager to run its social media accounts and newsletters. Ideal candidates will have experience managing social media, preferably in a newsroom, and will be well versed in international affairs. This is a full-time position, operating Monday-Friday, based in New York City or Los Angeles, with competitive salary and benefits.
The WorldPost is a partnership between The Huffington Post and the Berggruen Institute. It publishes news, op-eds and features from around the world.
Manage and grow The WorldPost's Facebook (907k followers), Twitter (93k) and Instagram (12k) accounts
Manage and grow The WorldPost’s newsletter distribution (67k)
Use analytics tools to spot trends and track the progress of stories
Create multimedia assets for social
Watch for breaking global news, fact-checking information before posting it on our platforms
Monitor and respond to social followers
Edit with meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced, creatively demanding work environment
Experience running social media accounts and using analytics tools
Passion for international affairs, culture and innovation
Strong writing and communications skills
Experience growing newsletter distribution is a plus
Photo and video editing skills are a plus
Fluency in a foreign language is a plus
